Founded in 2007 and registered as a not-for-profit PBO in Kenya with an international mandate, Transformative Agents of Change Initiatives (TACI) enhances community awareness, health preparedness, and grassroots youth leadership to address existing and emerging challenges.

To enhance community awareness and preparedness to address existing and emerging problems through adequate knowledge and sensitivity to identify the issues.

Key Impact Programs (2007 – 2024)

Demonstrated community-centered interventions driving social behavior change, health promotion, and youth empowerment.

Transformative Learning Approach (TLA)

Funded by the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) - University of Sussex in Nyanza Province. Trained community facilitators and established 20 dedicated volunteers utilizing participatory tools, role-plays, and video to address health and gender power dynamics.

The Tiego Roweche Project

Funded by the MTV Staying Alive Foundation. Positively shifted attitudes among young people, increased engagement with voluntary counseling & testing (VCT) centres, reduced stigma, and empowered peer leaders.

Youth Awareness & School Outreach

Facilitated interactive health sessions across 60 schools and conducted bi-monthly focus groups within the community, directly reaching nearly 1,500 youths with knowledge on prevention and peer dialogue.
